We regularly update our solutions with new features and improvements
Arius
Please note that Arius will not install and run unless you have been granted a license. Administrator privileges on your computer are required in order to install Arius (see installation notes for details).
Current release: Arius 2023b, April 2024
Prerequisites: None. This release is a complete system.
April 2024 update: The April release of 2023b is an update to a prior build of the same version. We resolved an issue for specific Arius Enterprise clients who were required to select their browser certificate during the authentication process to connect to Arius desktop.
Please note that the installation notes are unchanged from the prior release.
Current release: Arius 2023b, March 2024
March 2024 update: The March release of 2023b is an update to a prior build of the same version. We resolved an issue within Arius Desktop related to a discrepancy found when values were being interpolated within a User-Defined table via the “Interpolate” functions. (See Installation notes for additional details.) We also fixed an issue introduced in the original 2023b version wherein Arius Enterprise users were no longer able to rename projects from the Analysis portal.
New feature highlights for Arius version 2023b
A new GetWeights function which allows you to reference method weights in user-defined tables from any of the system Comparison of Ultimates reports or other Formula Driven Assumptions input arrays.
The ability to create user-defined historical arrays to store other historical data and assumptions (e.g., BF Loss Ratios, Method Weights); important for Drivers of Change reports.
The ability to import factors into the Historical Factory Library; important for loading historical SDFs into a new project for Actual vs. Expected analysis.
New feature highlights for Triangles on Demand version 2023b
The triangle aggregation logic for cumulative measures has been modified. If a record is “missing” for a particular valuation date corresponding to a cell within a triangle, ToD will no longer reach back to the latest cumulative value and will instead treat the “missing” record as a zero. This enhancement helps correct those situations where claims closed without payments were “dropped,” but the last record showed nonzero case reserves.
To further restrict who can view data within a ToD database, a new Triangles on Demand permission was added for “Manage ToD Totals” and the “Load Data from ToD” permission now includes the action for “Create Segments” within Arius.
If you require the prior build of 2023b (e.g., for compatibility with others on your team), please contact our Client Service team.
Prior release: Arius 2022a, December 2022
Prerequisites: None. This release is a complete system.
December 2022 update: The December release of 2022a is an update to a prior build of this same version. We fixed an issue wherein Arius Enterprise users were not able to check projects back into the database after they or another user has modified the user defined object library. We also fixed an issue when opening a user-defined resizable row array in Arius Enterprise if the table contained a formula and the setting for "Enable formula-driven payment pattern" was checked. See Installation Notes for more information.
New feature highlights for Arius version 2022a
The ability to easily select and highlight a diagonal on an exhibit (for example, to select all development factors for a specific diagonal/calendar period)
Search capabilities within the Object Library, so you can more easily find a specific table anywhere in the Library
An expanded set of system tables to help with IFRS 17 reporting
An enhanced “Diagonal” formula function now takes a scalar object as an additional parameter, with that scalar specifying the number of the diagonal that the function should retrieve (rather than having to specify the diagonal number directly in the user-defined formula)
Similar to Diagonal, an enhanced “GetPriorSDF” formula function takes a scalar object as an additional parameter specifying the number of the prior period from which to retrieve selected factors
New feature highlights for Arius Enterprise version 2022a
The ability to extract the weights vectors from Comparison of Ultimates reports or Formula Driven Assumptions into extract tables for use in additional reporting external to Arius
New feature highlights for Triangles on Demand version 2022a
Many new internal checks to assure that users cannot perform certain activities with a ToD database while other activities are taking place in the background. Examples include preventing users from adding or modifying records in a database while large deletions are taking place in that same database, and preventing users from deleting data sets or working with a database while its performance level is being scaled up or down.
TriangleMaker
Please note that TriangleMaker will not install and run unless you have a serial number, which is provided separately upon licensing the system.
